Switching

Thinking of switching? Your questions answered

Changing dispatch system is a big decision. These are the questions operators ask us most before they move, answered straight.

How hard is it to move my data across?

On every plan we set the platform up with you: your pricing, zones, vehicle classes and the booking widget, and we walk you through loading your drivers, vehicles and customers.

Bringing your existing bookings and customers across from a CSV export of your old system is done with you from the Growth plan up; on Starter, the one-time Dashboard Setup Assistance add-on gives you hands-on time for it. We help you map the columns, and AI suggests the matches for you. You can keep your old system running alongside while your team gets comfortable.

What if it goes down on a busy Friday night?

Almighty Dispatch carries live licensed private hire work every day, so faults are found and fixed in a real office, not in a test account. It runs on established cloud infrastructure with daily backups, not on a server in an office.

Can anyone else see my data, including Almighty Dispatch?

No. Every operator’s bookings, customers, drivers and prices are kept apart by the database itself, not by a policy or a promise. One company’s account cannot read another’s, and our own administration screens show counts only — never a passenger, an address or a booking.

Are you a ride-hailing app in disguise? Will my customers or jobs go to someone else?

No. We are not owned by Uber, a car maker, a large operator group or a private-equity fund. We do not run a marketplace, so we do not send your work or your customers anywhere. Your booking widget carries your brand, not ours, and we take no commission on your bookings.

Is there a contract?

No minimum term. You pay monthly and can cancel at the end of any month. Paying yearly is optional and simply saves you money.

Who is responsible if the AI gets a booking wrong?

The AI never saves a booking on its own. It reads an email, screenshot or voice note and fills in the booking form; you check it and press Save. Nothing reaches a driver until a person in your office has confirmed it. You can run the whole platform without using the AI at all.

What about GDPR and data security?

Personal data is handled under UK GDPR, and sensitive details such as driver bank details are encrypted. Owner accounts are protected by an authenticator app. Our Security and Data Protection pages give the full detail, including how a passenger or driver can have their data deleted.

Will the driver app work on my drivers’ phones?

The Driver app runs on Android 8.0 or newer and on iPhones with iOS 15 or newer, which covers almost every phone still in use.

Who do we call when something breaks?

Us. Phone support is Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm UK time; leave a message outside those hours and we will ring you back. We are a small company and will not pretend to offer 24/7 cover in five languages. What you get is people who run a fleet themselves.

I don’t use Xero or Sage. Can I still get my figures out?

Yes. Xero and Sage connect directly. For any other accounting package, export your bookings, invoices and statements as CSV files and import them there.

Why pay more than the cheapest option?

You pay one flat monthly price, with no commission on your own bookings and no minimum term. Every plan includes the dispatch system, the Driver app, the Operator app for your phone and a booking widget for your website.

Is anyone actually using it?

Yes. It runs a licensed private hire operation’s live work every day. Book a demo and we will show you the live system.

Got a question we haven’t answered?

Ask us the awkward one. We would rather tell you it isn’t a fit than sell you the wrong thing.
