Your office in your pocket — Almighty Dispatch, September
This is the first Almighty Dispatch newsletter. Once a month it covers what changed in the platform, a tip you can use in your own office, and nothing else. Everything below is already live. There are no roadmap promises in here.
Almighty Operator is a phone app built for operators, not a shrunk-down desktop screen. It shows today's work at a glance and lets you advance or reassign live jobs, take a booking, track drivers on a map and message them. It also has revenue graphs and the AI assistant. You get a push notification when a driver accepts, arrives, picks up a passenger or finishes. Pricing, invoicing and settings stay on the desktop app.
Every payment you record now appears in the driver's app, along with the invoices it covered. The driver taps Confirm received when the money arrives, and Payout History shows when each driver confirmed. That ends the "I never got it" conversation. Driver Invoicing also has a driver filter and select-all, so you can pay all of one driver's outstanding invoices in one go.
Open an insurance certificate, MOT, PCO badge or PHV licence you've already uploaded, and the expiry date, holder name and document number are read straight off it. It works on images and PDFs. It also flags a document that names the wrong person or the wrong vehicle. Receipts work the same way for expenses. If a receipt doesn't show VAT, the VAT box stays empty rather than being guessed. Nothing is saved until you apply it yourself.
- Booking widget: hourly hire at your own day and night rates, quote requests, closed dates, per-item luggage charges and separate pricing for return legs.
- Any country: each operator has their own currency, timezone, distance units and phone format. Address search follows the country you actually work in.
- Several licences or bases: assign each job to the right one. Reports and statements can be filtered to a single licence or base.
- Compliance check before dispatch: sending a driver whose badge, licence or insurance has expired now asks you to confirm first.
- Passengers can cancel within the window you set, as long as no driver has been sent yet.
During British Summer Time, some screens worked out "today" in UTC. Between midnight and 1am they showed yesterday, and weekly statements closed a day early for operators west of Greenwich. Everything now uses your own timezone. Booking and invoice numbers were also being checked across every company on the platform rather than just your own, which could reject a new company's bookings. That's fixed as well.
Check your drivers' document dates once a month, not the week they expire. Any badge, MOT or insurance within 30 days of expiry already appears as an alert on the Dashboard. Chase those, and the new pre-dispatch check will rarely need to stop you.
If you're already a subscriber and an operator you introduce signs up, you each get a month of your own plan free. It's credited once their first payment clears and they've been with us 30 days, and you can earn up to twelve months a year.
