Account Deletion

Delete your account and your data

Whether you are a passenger, a driver, or the operator running the business, you can have your account and your personal data deleted. This page says exactly who to ask, what is removed, what the law requires us to keep, and how long it takes.

Start here

Passenger

You booked a journey

Ask the operator you booked with — the taxi or private hire company whose name is on your confirmation.

They can erase you from their system in a single action. If you cannot reach them, tell us and we will get your request to the right people.
Driver

You drive for an operator

Ask the operator you drive for. Your login was created by them, and only they can remove it.

Deleting a driver removes the record, the login and every document uploaded against it — licence, insurance, background checks and bank details together.
Operator

You subscribe to Almighty Dispatch

Email us and we will close the account.

Access stops the same day. Everything held in the account is then permanently destroyed after a 30-day window, in case the closure was a mistake.

However you get in touch, email info@almightydispatch.com with “Account deletion” in the subject line and it will be picked up.

Why passengers and drivers ask the operator, not us

Almighty Dispatch is the software a transport operator runs their business on. The passenger and driver records inside an operator’s account belong to that operator — they decide what is collected and why, and they are responsible for it under data protection law. We hold that data on their behalf and act on their instructions.

So we do not delete a person’s records on our own initiative. We have no way to confirm that a stranger emailing us is who they say they are, and no right to destroy another operator’s records on that basis. The operator knows you, and has the tool built into their system.

If the operator will not respond, that is a different matter — tell us and we will chase it with them on your behalf. Their obligation to answer you is not optional, and you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

What gets removed

✓Passengers
Name, phone number, email, address, any notes held against you, saved pickup addresses, your app login, marketing preferences, and your number in any call record.
✓Drivers
The driver record, the login, every uploaded document, and encrypted bank and tax details.
✓Operators
The whole account — records, uploaded files, and every login belonging to it.

What we have to keep, and why

Booking and invoice records are financial records, and tax law requires them to be kept for around seven years. We cannot delete those — but we can, and do, strip the person out of them. Your name, phone number, email and address are removed; what remains is an anonymous line saying a journey happened and what it cost. Nobody reading it afterwards can tell it was you.

This also happens automatically, without anyone having to ask: once every booking and invoice attached to a person is older than the retention period, their personal details are removed by a scheduled job.

How long it takes

Passenger & driver requests

Within one month, free of charge — usually far sooner, because it is a single action for the operator. That one-month limit is what data protection law allows, not what we aim for.

Closing a subscription

Access ends the same day we close the account. The data is then held for 30 days in case the closure was a mistake, and permanently destroyed after that — records, uploaded files and every login attached to it.

Before you close a subscription

Download anything you still need first — invoices, driver statements and your booking history all export from inside the app. Your own records are yours to keep, and once the 30 days are up the purge cannot be undone by us or by anyone else.

Deleting the app is not deleting the account

Removing Almighty Operator, Almighty Driver or the customer app from a phone only removes the app. It does not delete the account or any of the data behind it — for that, use one of the routes at the top of this page.

Making the request

Email info@almightydispatch.com. Tell us whether you are a passenger, a driver or a subscriber, and — if you are a passenger or a driver — the name of the operator you booked with or drive for, so we can route it without a round of questions. We will not charge you, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Not sure who holds your data?

Tell us the company you booked with or drive for and we will point you at the right person.
